古銅獸面鳳紋壺

全器呈橢圓狀,直頸,鼓腹下垂,圈足垂直有力,頸部裝飾雙獸耳。頸飾一圈獸面紋,腹上方飾雙鳳鳥紋,為西周時期常見紋飾,呼應明代仿古風潮,下有三蕉葉形帶飾,上刻有獸面紋,底襯雷紋,頤和園清宮舊藏有一類似器。
The whole body is oval in shape, with a straight neck, a bulging belly and a drooping belly. The ring feet are vertical and powerful, and the neck is decorated with double animal ears. The neck is decorated with a circle of animal face patterns, and the top of the abdomen is decorated with double phoenix bird patterns. It is a common pattern in the Western Zhou Dynasty, echoing the antique trend of the Ming Dynasty. There are three banana leaf-shaped belt ornaments at the bottom, animal face patterns are engraved on the top, and thunder patterns are on the bottom. There is an similar vase in Summer Palace, Beijing.
